KARAE LISLE: Hello, everyone, and welcome back to day two of Sight Tech Global 2025. My name is Karae Lisle and I’m honored to host our global online audience today as the CEO of Vista Center For the Blind and Visually Impaired and as the producer of this important conference.
Yesterday, we heard from Salesforce, Waymo, Microsoft, Aira, Google DeepMind, and the Blind Institute of Technology, powerful conversations about intentional work impacting the blind and low vision community. If you missed any of these sessions, they’ll be available on our YouTube channel later this month. But today, we continue exploring this powerful theme. Technology is at its best when it serves everyone with equal access and functionality.
So here’s what we have in store today. We’ll discover the power and promise of multiline braille in conversation with DOT, HumanWare, and APH. We’ll highlight the responsible AI principles at Microsoft that are focused on building a fair and inclusive AI future. We’ll get a peek at Google’s latest accessibility features and several demos. We’ll hear from a director at Meta’s Reality Labs as he shares his journey working on and using Meta smart glasses.
So whether you’re here as a developer, designer, researcher, advocate, or someone personally impacted by accessible technology, thank you for being part of this movement. And continue to engage with us throughout the day using Slido chat. We love hearing your thoughts and your questions. Now let’s dive into day two.
